A big part of my life is researching and learning about the new vehicles being offered to the U.S. consumer. These are my thoughts and picks for the best and worst cars.

Lexus CT, also know as the “toy Lexus.”  Lexus, leave this segment to Mini, Fiat, Smart, etc.

The four door coupe is a huge and popular field.  It started with the Mercedes CLS, then Audi got on board with the A7, and even VW entered the playing field with the CC.  Now, BMW is entering the super popular field with the 6-Series Grand Coupe.  I like it, but it just doesn’t match the seductive look of the Audi A7.

Buick has come a long way in trying to make their range more youthful.  Who knew Buick would ever have a Regal GS model?  Still, if you are under 60 and driving a Buick, are you trying to age yourself?

What ever happened to the luxury wagon market?  As of now, the Mercedes Benz E-Class Wagon is the only luxury wagon available in the U.S. (even Volvo has stopped selling them).  VW does sell wagons, but they are not considered luxury.  Wagons are a great alternative to a minivan.  Just like vans, they have space and large doors.  I will buy a wagon over a minivan any day.

I love the BMW 1 Series.  My father promised me that I can get one when I graduate Law School.  I REALLY WANT TO GRADUATE!! For a BMW, you get all of the luxury amenities for a pretty good price.

Volvo has updated its XC90 SUV for the 2013 range.  New to this model from the previous, practically nothing! In fact, Volvo has not done any major changes to this vehicle since its debut in 2001!  Word of advice Volvo, this car is old, strip it down and redesign it completely.

The Land Rover, Range Rover Evoque.  This car is hot, and my thoughts are not alone.  It has won Motor Trend’s 2012 SUV of the year.  Land Rover has one desirable car on their hands; perhaps this could mean the end of the lack-luster LR2.

I present to you the Toyota Prius V.  Just when I thought the Prius could not get any uglier, Toyota creates this. I think Hybrid vehicles make a great city vehicle, but if you are making long distance hauls, I do not recommend them.
